Location: Detroit

The TV Traffic Reporters serve as an information provider and personality for local News Programming in top markets across the country.


DUTIES AND REPSONSIBILITIES:
•On-Camera Reporting
•Preparation of traffic reports
•Assistance with traffic info gathering
•Develop understanding of local highways and traffic patterns
•Other related duties as required

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
•Must have on-air TV experience.
•On-air experience in traffic or weather preferred.
•Candidates should be comfortable in front of a camera
•Have good communication skills and experience with computers.
•Ability to multitask.

all the job opening that i seem to find are alll looking for very specific things. and for a good reason, Some one who knows noting about reading a teleprompter should not be reading the news. In my field most every one is looking for
  • someone Fresh with a new additude
  • Able to think on their feet
  • connects with audeance
  • has on-air exp
  • good solid resume and reel
  • up to date on current events
I also found that is MUCH easer for me to get a job out west then it is here in the tri state area. how ever that dose make since beign that all of the famouse readiostations are in new york and philly.

i think the most valuable thing that EVERY job that i have seen today is looking for is someone whois out going and able to Connect with there audeance.
